This is a traditional sweet, flat bread from Catalonia. It is made from dough which is sprinkled with sugar before baking, and when it is taken out of the oven, aniseed liqueur is poured over it while it is still hot. To temper wood ovens, they first baked Cocas de Forner to make sure the oven was ready for the bread.
