Description:

Japanese and Chinese astronomers recorded in eight different writings the appearance of supernova SN 1181 between August 4 and 6, 1181. It is one of the eight supernovae belonging to the Milky Way observable with the naked eye, which appeared in the constellation Cassiopeia and was visible in the night sky for about 185 days.
