Description:

Servetus Servetus (Villanueva de Sigena, 1511 – Geneva, 1553), was an Aragonese humanist, theologian and scientist. His great universal recognition was for his study on pulmonary circulation described in his work Christianismi Restitutio. He participated in the Protestant Reformation and developed a Christology contrary to the Trinity. Repudiated by both Catholics and Protestants, he was arrested in Geneva, put on trial and condemned to death at the stake by order of the city council and the Reformed Churches of the cantons.
