Description:

Alan Mathison Turing, (London, 1912-Wilmslow, 1954), mathematician, cryptographer, philosopher and marathon runner. Considered one of the fathers of computer science and precursor of modern computing. During World War II, he worked on deciphering Nazi codes. He was prosecuted for homosexuality and two years after his conviction he died, according to the official version by suicide, although it is suspected that he was murdered.
