What does it mean
Georg Joachim Rheticus (Feldkirch 1514 - Košice1574) was an Austrian mathematician, astronomer, theologian, cartographer, builder of musical instruments and physician. He was a disciple of Nicolaus Copernicus, and his contribution to the expansion of Copernican thinking on the heliocentric theory led to a veritable scientific revolution. Another important contribution of his were his tables of trigonometric functions. When he taught in Leipzig, he engaged in an amorous relationship with a male student and was judged and sentenced to exile from the German city for 101 years.
