What does it mean
Lucilio Vanini (Taurisano, 1585 – Tolouse, 1619)
was an Italian philosopher who claimed that the Universe was governed by natural laws and that human beings were descended from monkeys. He was one of the many precursors to Darwin’s theories since he stated that some animals could become different ones. When he was convicted of blasphemy he had his tongue cut out, he was strangled and eventually he was burnt.
